Eating St. Louis I: Ted Drewes' Frozen Custard

Laurie and I love to spend a good part of our trips looking for things to eat. Usually our eyes are bigger than our actual stomachs, but we've been pretty good about just getting enought to nibble on so that we can eat more later.

Our tastes run more to the paper napkin than the fancy linen variety. We are more Hollyeats than Michelin Guide. If you haven't read Holly's food website, then do yourself a favor:

Here is one of the most famous St. Louis landmarks: Ted Drewe's. Located on Route 66, it is an institution--reknowned for its "Concretes," custards so thick you can turn them upside downn and they don't spill. There is always a line, but particularly during hot July nights.
