Rabbits are running amok

In 1859 a young settler in Vandeimansland named Thomas Austin wanted to engage in his favorite hobby: rabbit shooting. So he imported 24 English rabbits which quickly turned into 48 which then became 96 which then became 95,000,000.

This is all in order to make the point that rabbits are all over St. Louis and Wash U. in particular.

I want to make a joke based on John Steinbeck's character Lenny ("Of Mice and Men").

I can't think of one at the moment.

But I hope that my general desire to make such a joke is itself funny.
