Eating St. Louis II: Gian-Tony's in the Hill

Laurie and I had dinner at a little place in the Italian section of the city called The Hill (more to follow). We just had some appetizers and relaxed after a long day.

This particular dish, the involtini is spinach ricotta folded in thin eggplant.

Hey, that's Tony! The owner and head chef came out and offered to move his car so that Laurie could pull out. When he heard that we were from Philadelphia he and the people outside started giving us a hard time about the Phillies clobbering the Cardinals for two days in a row. (This is the neighborhood where Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola grew up. In fact the restaurant is next to Berra Park.)
