Eating in St. Louis III: Crown Candy Shop

This place has Andrew Gillespie written all over it. Located in a crazy part of town--there are a lot of boarded up places and nobody, I mean nobody, on the street--Crown Candy does, in fact sell candy, but it's claim to fame are gigantic milkshakes and an enormous BLT. Walking in is like stepping back in time, although I can't be sure when exactly. Parts of it are 1955: a jukebox, rock and roll memorabilia, Marilyn Monroe. Parts of it are 1905.
